There was always a special magic during newborn sessions. The love and excitement of this living gift from God set the tone for beautiful "timeless" portraits.

Technical details:  

Main light medium softbox with novatron strobe, metered F8

Fill light strobe shot through umbrella next to camera, metered F5.6

Background light metered F5.6

Rim light around his neck and shoulder placed high at the back right,  metered F11

Camera Nikon D80 set at F 5.6 at 1/125 sec, 

Lens hood to prevent flare from the rim light

Shot in color then processed to black and white
